  • The ETH Regulations according to the Masterplan version 3.6.1 (effective February 17, 2022) must be respected. These are outlined here:

  • ETH Guidelines for communication of illness, handling close contacts, and supporting contact tracing (Download English (PDF, 145 KB), Download Deutsch (PDF, 142 KB))

  • For traceability, you are kindly requested to register your presence at ETH in the “external page Weekly Planning”. You should make an entry not later than a day prior to the date you wish to access the lab. Only persons with valid entries are authorized to access PREC labs. When making this entry, you should not exceed the maximum occupancy according to this table:
  • At all times, adhere strictly to the safety & health regulations of ETH and BAG.
For the regulations of ETH, see here.
For the regulations of BAG, see external page here.
    In particular:
    • maintain 2m distancing.
    • wear masks when appropriate (see here).
    • maintain strong hygiene, such as periodic hand-washing and tool-disinfection. Wash hands thoroughly before/after your session. Clean all surfaces you touch after operation.
    • if possible, avoid public transportation.

  • Each lab is equipped with a box containing masks and a dispenser containing disinfectant for equipment and hands.

  • There are only few persons present at PREC labs and you may be working alone in the lab. Note that working alone is not permitted whenever the work could lead to injuries which would necessitate the immediate help of a second person (see here).

  • If you experience fever, coughing or breathing difficulties, or feel unwell in any other way, you must self-isolate and stay at home.

  • If you have had close contact with someone infected with COVID-19 in the past 14 days (less than 2m distance for more than 15 minutes, see here) you must not come to ETH.

  • If you belong to the "high-risk group" (see external page here), you should inform Prof. Steinfeld.

  • Please show personal responsibility in observing the rules.

  • Do not hesitate to contact Prof. Steinfeld or Philipp Haueter anytime, especially if you are not sure on how to proceed in specific situations.
